We start today discussing recent developments in Moldova and why politically this now has significant gravitas given not least with respect to its geographical location. We then move onto highlighting why Russia’s peaceful nuclear industry remains critical to the west and why it could be something which offers hope of rapprochement between Russia and Western nations in the future. We conclude by assessing why a recent meeting between Wang and Macron might be an opportunity for EU-China relations to avoid the same fate that Europe has suffered due to the boomerang effect of Western sanctions on Russia.
